Traveling by Train

If you are already in Sweden, long-distance trains connect cities such as Stockholm and Gothenburg directly to Malmö or Lund. From either Malmö Central or Lund Central, you can transfer to a regional train toward Åkarp, Lomma, or Burlöv and then complete the final leg on foot or by local bus. From Åkarp, the campus is roughly a 20-minute walk or a short bike ride. From Lomma or Burlöv, local buses run toward Campus Alnarp, stopping close to the main university buildings. Travel from Stockholm to Malmö or Lund takes around four and a half to five hours, while travel from Gothenburg takes about three hours.

Traveling by Plane

For international visitors, the most convenient arrival point is usually Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) in Denmark. From the airport, there are frequent direct trains across the Öresund Bridge to Malmö Central Station, with a travel time of about 25 minutes. From Malmö Central, you continue by regional train to a nearby station such as Åkarp, Burlöv, or Lomma, followed by a short walk or local bus connection to Campus Alnarp. Some conferences also arrange shuttle buses from Malmö directly to Alnarp, which is worth checking with the event organizers.

If you arrive via Malmö Airport (Sturup), you first take an airport coach to Malmö Central Station. From there, the same regional train and bus connections apply for reaching Alnarp.

Traveling by Car

It is also possible to reach Alnarp by car. The town lies close to the E6 and E22 motorways, and driving from Malmö or Lund usually takes no more than 15 to 20 minutes. Parking is generally available on or near the campus.

Note

Although Alnarp is easy to reach, local buses and regional trains may run less frequently outside peak hours, so it is advisable to check schedules in advance. Many delegates choose to stay in Malmö or Lund, which offer a wider range of hotels and frequent public transport connections to Alnarp.
